Goal
Design a buying configurator web app UI for Samsung Australia, to allow users to explore, customize, and purchase their own highly modular Samsung BESPOKE Refrigerator (optimized for usability, and works smoothly in different contexts: as both an embeddable component onto retailers’ online stores, and as a web app displayed in physical stores).
Impact
Delivered the web app within schedule, and in a fully functional state, which helped the client achieve a smooth launch of their BESPOKE Refrigerator product line in Australia.
Approach
Research and discovery
Organize and lead multiple internal client sessions to better understand key issues from the client’s perspective and studying existing solutions.
Wire-frames
Create an outline of the main elements and interactions we need to include in a form that we can present to client for approval and scope sign-off.
Mockups and prototyping
Create a more accurate visual representation of the previously outlined features with actual assets, fonts, and styles, to communicate some of the more detailed aspects of the experience both to client and developers.
